Emily grew up living in Winnipeg, Manitoba and completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy there before moving to BC. She was exposed to pediatric therapy at a young age. Her mom was a pediatric Occupational Therapist, so seeing the work she did piqued Emily’s interest for a future career. As she grew up, Emily was heavily involved in sports (her favourite being volleyball!) and was then exposed to the other side of rehabilitation. This combination, along with her passion for working with kids, made Emily’s path to pediatric physiotherapy an easy choice. Her biggest passion in clinic is working with musculoskeletal cases and babies, but she loves the variety that comes with treating kids.

Emily strives to make all of her sessions fun, engaging, and efficient. She is a big advocate for collaborative care, and wants to make sure her families and other health care practitioners are involved in the rehab process. In her free time, you’ll find Emily out with her dog Winnie and friends, experiencing why they call the West Coast the Best Coast!
